Targeting the Most Vulnerable: Many patients admitted to public hospitals, along with their attendants, come from financially challenged backgrounds. This initiative ensures that they receive fresh, hygienic, and nutritious meals at no cost during their time of need. Daily Meal Distribution: Meals are distributed daily across selected hospitals and government healthcare centers. Each meal is prepared under hygienic conditions, following nutritional guidelines suitable for patients and those undergoing treatment or recovery. On-Ground Volunteer Support: A dedicated team of 50+ volunteers manages meal preparation, packaging, and distribution at over 10 government hospital sites. Volunteer shifts are scheduled to ensure uninterrupted service from early morning till late evening. Meal Preparation Details: Over 500 meals are prepared daily in collaboration with trusted food service partners. Meals typically include rice, lentils, vegetables, and bottled water, adhering to dietary needs of hospital patients. Food safety is ensured by regular quality checks. Hospital Coverage: As of now, the program is actively running in over 12 government hospitals across three districts, including Civil Hospital, JPMC, and Abbasi Shaheed. Expansion plans are underway to include more rural healthcare centers. Hygiene & Packaging: All meals are packaged in eco-friendly, disposable containers. Volunteers use gloves, masks, and sanitizers throughout the process. No-contact delivery is also observed in high-risk wards to ensure patient safety. Fostering Dignity and Compassion: The program is carried out with a strong emphasis on human dignity. Meals are served respectfully, without discrimination, and with compassion, creating a positive, supportive environment for those going through medical hardships. Outreach Events: On select Fridays and public holidays, the team organizes special “Community Meal Drives,” reaching up to 1,000 beneficiaries in a single day, including sanitation workers, guards, and hospital staff. Impact and Growth: To date, the Free Food Distribution Program has served more than 100,000+ meals across all centers combined. Feedback is regularly collected from recipients and hospital administrators to improve the service further.
